Hi UCSD AMSA members! I'm Dr. Rachel Rizal, and I grew up in Southern California. I am

passionate about mentoring premeds, and while in medical school, I co-authored a book,

Cracking Med School Admissions. I attended medical school at Stanford and trained as an

Emergency Medicine physician at Harvard. I am excited to answer your questions each month

about anything and everything related to your pre-med journey! Popular topics I get asked about are: volunteering, researching, shadowing, and taking non-traditional paths in medicine. You can read more about my background and my co-author's background here!

Event Description

Dr. Resnik is our faculty advisor and the former Dean of Admissions for the School of Medicine at UCSD. He is  offering 1-on-1 advising sessions to AMSA members. This is the last time Dr. Resnik will be advising for AMSA so bring any questions you may have! You must be an active AMSA member to participate, and selections are made first come first serve.
