Dr. Ramos Advising

When: Monday 2/1 from 10-11:30am

Dr. Ramos is our faculty advisor and a board-certified perinatologist specializing in treating women with diabetes. She is a professor at the UCSD School of Medicine and is the current director for the maternal fetal medicine fellowship at UCSD. She is also a first generation college student, multiple time applicant to medical school, and the first doctor in her family. If you would like to talk more with Dr. Ramos about your own pre-health journey, sign up for a 1-on-1 advising sessions down below! You must be an AMSA member to participate, and selections are made first come first serve.

Dr. Kelly will be giving 1 hour long advising sessions to AMSA members who are planning on entering medical school in Fall 2021 or Fall 2022. Ask questions about your medical school application like your 3 most important activities, which medical schools to apply to, and how to interview well.

In order to be eligible for her advising sessions, you must meet the requirements below:

1) Be an AMSA member

2) Applying to medical school this year or within 1 year

Hi UCSD AMSA members! I'm Dr. Rachel Rizal, and I grew up in Southern California. I am

passionate about mentoring premeds, and while in medical school, I co-authored a book,

Cracking Med School Admissions. I attended medical school at Stanford and trained as an

Emergency Medicine physician at Harvard. I am excited to answer your questions each month
